Radius Plays respond to the real needs of drama groups. The first two plays in this series were prizewinners in Radiuss highly successful playwriting competition and were launched to great acclaim in a professional staged reading in 2001. Both take historical events as the starting point for probing contemporary dilemmas with imagination, theological understanding and a good dose of humour.
Cell Talk by Dana Bagshaw vividly brings to life Julian of Norwich and
Margery Kempe who met in 1410. Julian helps Margery feel that the
smallest of things can bring us close to our Maker as they talk
about their eventful lives, sexual and emotional needs and visions of God.

Iscariot by Michael Hendy takes Judas to the day of judgment. Is he guilty? Are people responsible for their actions, or are we puppets in the hands of psychology and society? Can God redeem even the greatest sin? Fast moving with quick changes of focus and viewpoint.
Both plays last about an hour and could be used as a starting point for discussion. Iscariot needs two clearly differentiated acting areas but both plays have minimal staging requirements in terms of setting and props.
Both plays are available from the Radius office at a cost of £5.00 (pounds sterling) + £1 per copy postage and packing. Postage is free for orders of five or more copies. To order, write with your name, address and telephone number, stating how many copies of each play you require and enclosing the relevant payment to:
